10 December 2019: The US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has appointed Kristina Littman as chief of the Division of Enforcement’s Cyber Unit.

Littman has worked with the SEC since 2010, when she joined as Staff Attorney in the Philadelphia office. She has since held various attorney positions across the Market Abuse and Trial units. During her time at SEC, she has advised on numerous regulatory and policy matters, including cryptocurrencies, digital assets, international affairs and investment management.

Commenting on the appointment, Littman said, “I am honored to have the opportunity to serve as chief of the Cyber Unit. I am thrilled to work with the talented women and men who have left the SEC’s efforts to pursue cyber-related misconduct.” Littman succeeds Robert Cohen, who left the Commission in August this year.

Meanwhile, FINRA has appointed a new CCO, Natalie Meyer. She is an internal candidate previously responsible for FINRA’s ethics and contracts programs.
