
Whistleblowers Share Joint $3m Award From SEC

The US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has awarded $3m to two whistleblowers who helped launch an SEC investigation and successful enforcement action through their tip-off.
The whistleblowers had informed the SEC about a potential securities law violation that impacted retail investors. The tip was submitted jointly and the award will be shared. The SEC has now awarded in excess of $384m to 64 individuals since the awards were launched in 2012.
